At Arbor House Portland, we work collaboratively with each resident, and their greater treatment and mental health team, to create individualized structure based on their own recovery and mental health needs and reported recovery goals.

We also interface with mental health professionals, families, sponsors, and spiritual leaders to assist with continuity of care.

However…

We do have universal structure that all residents must abide by!

  • Mandatory once a week house meetings

  • Biweekly meetings with the house manager/certified recovery mentor

  • Biweekly meetings with the executive director/counselor

  • Minimum of 2 outside recovery based mutual support meetings a week (12 step or non-12 step!), more depending on amount of clean time

  • Every resident must have a sponsor or mentor in their chosen recovery program

  • Daily chore duties & room expectations

  • If not active in an IOP program, residents must work or volunteer 25+ hours a week or be enrolled as a fulltime student, or be out of the house Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.
